Join traditional fishing trips with MS Symra

On a fishing trip with XXLofoten you get an authentic fishing experience on board MS Symra, a traditional fishing boat that has been in operation since 1917. The vessel is perfectly adapted to the conditions in Lofoten, and is protected by the Norwegian Ministry of Cultural Heritage.

Our trips start from Svolvær, where we sail past famous landmarks such as Fiskerkona. Our experienced crew takes you to the best fishing grounds based on the time of year and season. You will not only learn to fish, you will also learn to gut it on board. And of course, you can take your catch home with you.

There are 10 fishing spots with cheat wheels on board, so our guests must expect to share space with other participants on this trip. The boat is certified for 38 people, but we take a maximum of 20 guests with us each trip, and we promise that you will be very satisfied before we head back to port.

We cannot guarantee a catch, but we do our utmost to find good fishing grounds. The boat trip itself is an experience, especially for those interested in nature, photography and history.

Winter fishing (15 February – 30 April): 4 hour fishing trip: NOK 1295 per person
